Teaching & Educating
I’ve been teaching the trumpet since around 2007 to individuals between 4, and 90, and from beginner to music graduates. I currently teach in Warwick School, and enjoyed nine years in the music departments of Repton and Repton Prep schools where I worked as a peri, classroom teacher of music, and Head of Brass. I have 100% examination pass rate, and strongly believe that the role of a music teacher is just as much a pastoral one. I’ve always been fascinated by how the whole brass system works, and find teaching hugely enjoyable.
I’ve also worked closely with the incredible LEAP Ensemble from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for over 10 years. Together with them, we have worked with over 45,000 young musicians. I’ve been fortunate to guest lecture at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, as well as having worked in Sir William Perkins’ School (Chertsey), Tormead School (Guildford), Highclare School (Sutton Coldfield), Hydesville Tower School (Walsall) to name a few. I teach privately and currently have spaces for private students from April onward.
